I was looking for a list of the various frightful dishes in A Series of Unfortunate Events, but I couldn’t find a complete list anywhere. Probably because everyone who read the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans, had to put the books down before finishing them due to despair. I will not record the vexing, forlorn, and disastrous context for these various frightful dishes along with them; because I don’t want to give any tragic plot points away. Not all of these are actually eaten by the Baudelaires, some are only mentioned in melancholy. I am going to attempt to re-create some of these, and add pictures to the list as I do. Fish and seafood dishes are quite common on this list, however due to a vast, food-related disorder, I can’t make any of them.

I’m glad you found this helpful! I also noticed that there wasn’t a good list anywhere that I could find, so I just decided to do it myself. 🙂 I’m still updating this a bit. I can’t find any alphabet noodles, but as soon as I do I’ll be almost finished. At one point in The Hostile Hospital the kids need to rearrange letters in names on a list. That might be a fun party game.
