I’ve had a few posts about Moana party food and decorations, but I haven’t had any about party activities.
You can have guests find the heart of Te Fiti. These are green acrylic stones from Fire Mountain Gems. I drew the pattern on them with a silver Sharpie marker. The stones I bought are sold out, but there are similar, smaller ones still available.
You could also have kids decorate their own stone as one of the activities.
Another activity is making flower or shell leis. You could use real flowers, but I used acrylic flowers for these. I got these particular flowers a couple of years ago from Fire Mountain Gems, but you can pick out your own. You can also get the white beads or shell beads.
What has Maui shape shifted into? Put a few animal figurines in a bag and have a child pull one out so they know what to draw. Then have the kids guess.
This is more of a craft for older kids, or something an adult can make for the birthday kid. I’ve made a few versions of Moana’s necklace, but I think this one is the closest to the one she wore in the movie. I made the top grey part out of Sculpy. I super glued a bail onto the same heart of Te Fiti from above. I also used a Pua shell and pearls. The Pua shell is pretty delicate, so this may not be the best version for a young child.
This version is a little more robust, but doesn’t quite look as accurate as the one above. I used a pyrite shell, a magnesite stone, and the pearls from above.
