When I watched the German TV series “Dark” in between all the sci fi twists and turns, I couldn’t help noticing a few things. First, crocheting! I loved the fox hat that one character wore, and I knew I had to make it. You can see the steps below and the finished project which is so cute on little kids!
Fox Hat
Make an isosceles triangle starting at the acute point. Then use that to make a regular hatand just link each time you get to the triangle. The ears are a white and copper ear sewn together.
German Penny Necklace
I have some old coins that I bought from Fire Mountain Gems that were sold after all the countries in the EU switched to Euros. I also have a hole punch for metal-so I was able to make the necklace from the movie. Toast Hawaii
People really got excited about canned pineapple. They also loved to pair it with maraschino cherries. In the 1920s in America pineapple upside down cake was born. In the 1950s in Germany it was toast Hawaii. This is a ham, cheese, and pineapple open faced sandwich with a cherry in the center. When I made this one I had to use a black cherry because maraschino cherries are very difficult to find in Australia. Some times you’ll see them in specialty grocery stores. Recently I have found them at Victoria’s Basement around Christmas time.
