I am on a bit of a cross stitching kick right now. I used to make a lot of these back in grade and high school, but then I stopped until now. I decided to make things that I need to draw the patterns out for instead of store bought patterns. The most obvious movie to make a cross stitch for is Wreck-it-Ralph since he lives in a pixelated world!

I love Ralph’s Bad Anon motto and I saw that someone drew it out in pixels. I found an 8-bit version of Ralph and Vanellope that one of the Disney artists made to put on shirts for the film makers and I added those in as well because I thought they were very cute. In the movie, Ralph goes into a Pac Man game and grabs some cherries and he looks just like this 8-bit version. I’ve got the patterns below. They are all individual so you can organize this any way you want to.

I made a frame for this cross stitch out of Fimo clay. First, I traced a square on baking paper the size I wanted for the frame. Then, I rolled the clay into a tube and placed it on the outline. I pressed the little Fimo candy onto the frame. The pink and brown ones are a type of Japanese candy. I made those and the candy corns by shaping the clay into a long triangle and then slicing them off one at a time. The hard candies are made the typical way you make those beads. You make a thick tube and then roll it down thinner and slice the beads off on at a time.

I found artwork from another film maker shirt with little candy people on them and I made those people out of Fimo. These are really tiny. The little Vanellope is the size of a necklace charm. On a side note, I can’t wait for more Vanellope merchandise! It was actually quite hard to find things when the movie was out. I couldn’t find anything the May after the movie came out even at Disneyland!

I saved a few of the candies to use as beads for a necklace. Vanellope has candy in her hair, so you could use these as barrettes, but you can also wear them as a necklace if you want to Disney bound as Vanellope.

Are you excited for Wreck-it-Ralph 2?

Update- This is the crocheted candy fan I made. Sugar Rush itself isn’t featured as much in Ralph Breaks the Internet, but I love that world so much!
